3) In the Classroom, Web Logs are the New Bulletin Board!
This is another great article! It talks about how a class went on a fieldtrip. When they returned, instead of having a large group discussion, they went to their class web log and each student had the opportunity to talk about what they learned. This turned into a nice discussion among peers because the students could add their personal comments to others. this created a much more comfortable discussion environment for everyone. The article also mentioned that through the use of a blog, students have opportunities to continue discussions outside of the school day. One teacher commented, "Now I can react to what they say immediately, and students can respond to each other," instead of having a pile of paper journals stacked on her desk.
